Studied sports safety; the playing field; equipment basics; the mental game; on-lane activities; keeping score; stances and delivery. Course included information on running youth programs; parent-child relationships, and adding fun to a youth program

USBC Athlete Development Drills, 2006:
Instructors: Bob Maki, Cary Pon, Ron Hatfield

Worked on developing arm swing and timing drills as well as techniques for helping athletes who have different athletic traits or different natural motions.

Dick Ritger Level 1 & 2 Instructor, 2004:
Instructor: Dick Ritger

Attended training sessions on teaching the fundamentals of bowling. Instruction concentrated on arm swing; balance; push away; tempo; advanced targeting and reading of lanes. Other topics covered: drift; lane adjustments and mathematical formulas for strikes/spares.

ASEP Coaching Principles, 2004:

Instruction on the pedagogy of coaching. Topics included: coaching philosophy; working with individuals with different athletic traits; technical and tactical skills; planning; physical training; managing a team, relationships, and battling drugs.

Received training in philosophy of coaching; fundamentals of posture and physical game. Other topics included: reading lane conditions & making adjustments; components/dynamics of a bowling ball and its motion; the mental aspects of game; video taping analysis and pedagogy of giving lessons.

Director of Operations: Striking Cat Entertainment: 2008 – 2010
Managed daily operations for 24 lane bowling center. Task included customer and vendor relations, employee supervision, purchasing supplies and products.

Bowling Coach: Comanche High School Bowling Team:Comanche Oklahoma.  2008 – 2009
Organized new bowling program and also gave bowling lessons for Comanche High School of Comanche Oklahoma. 

Bowling Coach: Academy High School Bowling Teams: 2006 – 2007; Irving High School Bowling Teams: 2003 – 2008:Irving TX Head Coach for boys and girls bowling teams; organized training sessions; offered bowling instruction and helped develop team concepts and spirit.

Operated a full service bowling shop. Purchased & managed supplies and inventory; provided bowling lessons to customers; fit and drilled bowling balls for customers.

Developed Big Cats Advanced Youth Programs and offered instruction to youth bowlers in fundamentals and advanced skills. Level 1 Big Cats programs include:

playing field topography; terminology; issues of safety and lane courtesy; proper posture and form; starting position; approach and swing; eating and drinking while bowling; the essentials in equipment. Level 2 Big Cats programs include: advanced lane play; awareness of lateral movement; advanced targeting; understanding angles; equipment selection; and arsenal analysis.
